“The Andes mountains are very long. The Andes mountains are very high, and in the nighttime the constellations glow brightly in the sky.
The Andes mountains are in Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile too!
The Andes mountains have animals: Alpacas, Llamas and guanacos, And Condors, eagles, and hummingbirds Sour over the ancient roads.
The Andes mountains are in Venezuela, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile too!
The Andes mountains have lots of plants: Bananas, mangoes, and coconuts. The natives harvest potatoes there, then stomp and eat them up.

Layers of the Rainforest
“The South American tropical rainforest has 4 different layers. The bottom layer is the forest floor. The next layer up is the understory. The third from the bottom is the canopy. The emergent layer is way up high!
Now the forest floor is very dark and gloomy with decomposing plants. It’s where agoutis plant Brazil nut trees, and tapirs live with bugs and ants.
The South American tropical rainforest has 4 different layers. The bottom layer is the forest floor. The next layer up is the understory. The third from the bottom is the canopy. The emergent layer is way up high!
Understory layer is so hot and humid with many plants and vines, and gorgeous flowers like bromeliads and snakes and frogs with bright eyes.
The South American tropical rainforest has 4 different layers. The bottom layer is the forest floor. The next layer up is the understory. The third from the bottom is the canopy. The emergent layer is way up high!
Now the canopy layer is the thickest layer, and it is full of life. It swarms with fruit and nuts and monkeys and sloths because it’s filled with dappled light.
The South American tropical rainforest has 4 different layers. The bottom layer is the forest floor. The next layer up is the understory. The third from the bottom is the canopy. The emergent layer is way up high!
The emergent layer is the highest layer and reaches to the sky. It is very sunny and has very tall trees and eagles bats and butterflies.
The South American tropical rainforest has 4 different layers. The bottom layer is the forest floor. The next layer up is the understory. The third from the bottom is the canopy. The emergent layer is way up high! And these are the layers of the South American Rainforest!”
