On the back of the six parts of the biome cards (air, water, soil, energy, plants & animals) there is a place to write an example of each part of the biome found in your schoolyard as you break down what a biome is.s

On the back of each biome card (Alpine, Arctic, Tundra, Grassland, Temperate Forest, Tropical Forest, Rainforest, Marine, Wetland, Boreal Forest, Scrubland, and Desert) There is a map and a description for each biome as well as icons to help them easily sort the biomes by relative heat and moisture level. Helping them identify key biomes of the world and what makes each one unique.

Finally, the kids can practice what they've learned with 24 different biomes of the world. As they identify the biomes in each picture they can find the place on the map and then set the small location card on top of the larger biome cards they match with.
